Victory Internet Pharmacy holds monthly ‘Clinical Review Meetings’ in which learning points from each staff member is discussed.
At these meetings we discuss avoidance of potential errors, medication deliveries to vulnerable patients, safety of patients and staff during COVID, feedback from patients and all others matters to help us improve our systems to ultimately provide a seamless service to our patients. At this meeting, Minhaal Ramani – VIP Superintendent Pharmacist explained the differences between types of antidepressants and topical gels like Ibuprofen and Diclofenac.
Learning from each other is a key component to professional development.
This month we invited Ann Devaney who is an SLI (Sign Language Interpreter) to assist Aminaaz – one of our staff who is profoundly deaf, to access these meetings. Aminaaz is a founding staff member of VIP who has been with the company since its inception in August 2016. The SLI was able to sign the whole meeting allowing Aminaaz to not only participate but also actively understand the proceedings.
