For patients with diabetes and high blood pressure, the thought of not having to take medication to manage their condition is unheard of let alone encouraged.
This is precisely what happened to me 15 months ago when, at a routine visit to my GP Dr Donal Collins from Highlands Medical Centre in Fareham, I was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure. This is normally managed with medications however during the consultation Dr Collins advised me that this can be reversed with diet. The fear of taking these medications for the rest of my life encouraged me try the diet option. Six months later, having been on a strict Keto diet, I reduced my weight from 92kg to 80kg and following a blood test my diabetes was in remission and blood pressure normalised.
My story is by no means unique but it is one that resonates amongst his patients at Highlands Medical Centre in Fareham. Having had a similar experience Dr Donal Collins – a specialist in Diabetes and ENT, encouraged his patient to follow his example all achieving similar success.
BarlowCollins is the brain child of Dr Colin’s years of experience. His goal is to replicate the success he had at his GP practice in a larger setting.
At his new venture he is also offering Microsuction which is one of the safest methods to clean the ear.
